Lois Gibbons, age 86, of Mount Prospect, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2015, in California, with her daughter at her side. She was born October 27, 1928, in Chicago, the daughter of Thelma and William (Bill) Woods. Lois is survived by her children: Thomas P. Gibbons, Kathleen M. Gibbons, John (Jack) T. (Sandra) Gibbons and James M. (Maureen) Gibbons. Her grandchildren: Ryan, Nicole, Thomas, Brandon, Andrea, Leah and great grandchild Nathaniel. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Gibbons, granddaughter Jessica Smalley, and brother George Woods. Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother devoted to her family.
Services for Lois will be private. Memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and expressions of sympathy would be greatly appreciated.
